Her commitment to service didn’t end with academics; she proudly served two consecutive terms as the National Queen of the National Montford Point Marine Association, Inc. from 2013 to 2015, setting the bar high for her peers.

Today, Dr. Shaw is making headlines as the Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI) at Bloom Township High School. She proudly holds the distinction of being the first African-American and first woman to occupy this pivotal role. The success of the Navy JROTC Unit at Bloom High School under her leadership is undeniable; it has consistently been recognized as a National ‘Distinguished Unit with Honors. This achievement speaks volumes about her dedication and passion for education.

Championing Girls in STEM and eSports

Passionate about creating opportunities for young girls, Dr. Shaw has taken her advocacy a step further. She is a STEM Facilitator for NJROTC Cadet Girls in collaboration with Women Veterans Rock! Based in Philadelphia, this partnership has opened doors for many aspiring tech enthusiasts. In March 2023, she launched “The Bloom ‘Pedal’ Pushers,” an innovative eSports iRacing Team composed of Black and Brown girls who are NJROTC cadets. This team has already made its mark, as each member is a Guinness World Record holder!

In June 2023, they achieved a monumental feat by participating virtually in a replica of the Chicago Inaugural NASCAR Race. Their hard work and talent did not go unnoticed, as they were honored by Chicago Heights Mayor David A. Gonzalez on the ‘International Day of the Girl’. This recognition further solidifies their place in history as role models for future generations.

Beyond her impressive career, Dr. Shaw is also an Inspirational Speaker, Businesswoman, and International Best-Selling Author. Her heart shines through her philanthropic efforts, such as running Stacy’s Stocking Stuffers Christmas Charity, which has provided toys, meals, clothing, and much-needed support to families in need since 1991.

In recent months, she received several accolades, including five Guinness World Records and the prestigious Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Her dedication has also seen her collaborate with major corporations like Disney, Marvel, and Netflix on various projects, showcasing her versatility and expertise.
