Women runners come together to celebrate empowerment at the Every Woman's Marathon in Scottsdale.
The Every Woman’s Marathon will move its 2025 event from Savannah to Scottsdale, Arizona, scheduled for November 16, 2025. After a successful inaugural event in Savannah, the change comes as city officials couldn’t establish a long-term commitment. The new location aims to enhance the experience for thousands of women runners, celebrating empowerment and community.
In a significant shift in its plans, the Every Woman’s Marathon will not be returning to Savannah for its upcoming 2025 event. Instead, this exciting marathon will be hosted in the picturesque city of Scottsdale, Arizona on November 16, 2025. The decision comes after the inaugural event held in Savannah last year proved to be quite the spectacle, drawing thousands of women runners from all walks of life.
According to Savannah’s Mayor Van Johnson, while there was a positive working relationship with the marathon organizers, the marathon couldn’t commit to a long-term arrangement in Savannah. The mayor explained that although the inaugural event was indeed a success, the marathon didn’t align perfectly with the busy Saturdays in Savannah along with its size and overall scope. So, it seems the marathon runners will be trading their Savannah river views for Arizona sunshine!
Miranda Abney, who serves as the vice president of consumer marketing at MilkPEP, the organization behind the marathon, expressed sincere appreciation for Savannah’s warm hospitality during the first race. In her words, the event served as a wonderful celebration of strength, sisterhood, and community, themes that resonate deeply with the mission of this unique marathon.
The inaugural Every Woman’s Marathon was held in Savannah on the very same day last year and marked a significant milestone by welcoming over 7,000 women to participate. Many runners described the experience as “life-changing” and “unmatched,” indicating a profound sense of empowerment and camaraderie among those that took part.
As runners gear up for the Scottsdale event, the marathon is offering early bird registration at a price of $95. Team Milk members can snag a discounted rate of $80. It’s a fantastic opportunity for participants to be a part of something special in a new venue!
The Every Woman’s Marathon is not just another race; it’s a celebration of community, empowerment, and the strength of women coming together. Having successfully launched in Savannah, it’s clear that the event resonates with many in the running community and beyond. The 2025 edition aims to build on the accomplishments of the inaugural event, promising a fresh and exciting atmosphere for all participants.
As Savannah bids farewell to this beloved marathon, there’s a wave of excitement and anticipation in Scottsdale, where they prepare to welcome thousands of enthusiastic runners for a day that aims to honor the remarkable spirit of women everywhere. With the marathon scheduled for mid-November, it’s bound to be a highlight of the running calendar, especially for those looking to embrace community and empowerment in a fun, supportive setting.
So, keep your running shoes ready, ladies! The Every Woman’s Marathon is about to make its mark in Scottsdale, bringing together women from all over to share in this unparalleled experience! Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this empowering journey as it moves to new horizons!
