Students at the STEAM workshop explore creativity and innovation through hands-on activities.
Genesis Motor America and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation are making strides in youth education in Coastal Georgia by organizing a STEAM workshop and supporting the Savannah Children’s Theatre. With a focus on empowering creativity and innovation among local youth, these efforts aim to inspire the next generation through valued educational opportunities and a significant $50,000 donation for the arts.
Coastal Georgia is buzzing with excitement following the latest efforts of Genesis Motor America and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation to elevate educational initiatives in the area. On March 11, 2025, these organizations teamed up with a focus on empowering youth in and around Bryan County, particularly where Hyundai Motor Group’s impressive Metaplant America is located. This partnership is all about fostering creativity, innovation, and a love for learning among local children.
As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Genesis Gives, the initiative behind Genesis Motor America, orchestrated a STEAM workshop at Bryan County Middle School. The workshop was run in collaboration with the Child Creativity Lab, and its goal was simple but powerful: to introduce students to the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics—all through the lens of the automotive industry and clean energy.
The workshop provided young learners with an inside look at how products are planned in the automotive sector, including details on the innovative GV60 SUV. Students engaged in hands-on activities, allowing them to brainstorm and create their own unique mobility concepts using recycled materials. This approach not only sparked their imagination but also taught them the importance of sustainability!
In addition to the workshop, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation made a significant contribution of $50,000 to the Savannah Children’s Theatre. This donation comes at a crucial time, as the theatre suffered severe roof damage from a hurricane last October. The Savannah Children’s Theatre, located on E. Victory Dr., has long provided children and families with a rich array of theatrical experiences.
This theatre’s mission is to inspire and educate through live performances, school field trips, and community productions, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere that embraces diversity. Genesis’ generous gesture will aid in restoring the theatre and ensuring it continues to offer impactful programming to local youth.
The efforts of Genesis Motor America and its foundation reflect a broader commitment to nurturing future leaders through educational opportunities. The Genesis Inspiration Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2018, has focused on enhancing children’s access to the arts across the United States.
Since its inception, the foundation has committed $10 million to youth arts programming, supporting various museums, schools, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to enriching children’s cultural experiences. This investment has enhanced opportunities for countless young individuals across the nation.
Events like the STEAM workshop and significant donations to organizations like the Savannah Children’s Theatre showcase how partnerships between corporations and local organizations can have a long-lasting impact. By focusing on the education and creativity of young minds, Genesis Motor America is paving the way for a bright future, one where the next generation is empowered to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
As Coastal Georgia embraces these learning opportunities, the community can look forward to seeing young innovators and artists blossom into their roles as future leaders. With the involvement of Genesis and its initiatives, the sky is truly the limit for the talented youth of this vibrant region.
