Local Savannah residents gathered to discuss community safety and vigilance.
The Savannah Police Department is urging residents to assist in locating two armed and dangerous suspects linked to separate violent incidents. James Deandertrai Green, wanted for domestic violence, and Keon Sanders, a suspect in a fatal shooting, are both being pursued. Community vigilance is critical to ensure safety as SPD emphasizes the importance of reporting any information regarding their whereabouts.
The lovely city of Savannah is buzzing with activity as the local police department reaches out to the community for assistance. The Savannah Police Department (SPD) is on the hunt for two individuals wanted in connection with two separate violent incidents that have recently shaken the area. Both cases have raised concerns, and authorities are urging residents to keep their eyes peeled.
First up on the list is 33-year-old James Deandertrai Green. This man is wanted due to a domestic violence incident that occurred on the afternoon of April 2. The situation unfolded near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Broughton Street, a bustling area usually filled with people going about their day. However, this incident has cast a shadow over the neighborhood.
The SPD has classified Green as armed and dangerous, which means residents should stay on high alert and not approach him. If you think you have any information regarding his whereabouts, you’re urged to contact the police immediately. You can also reach out to Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020 or drop an anonymous tip via the SPD mobile app. Remember, every little bit of information can be vital!
Moving on to another case, the SPD is also looking for 20-year-old Keon Sanders. He is a suspect in a tragic fatal shooting incident that took place just a few days later, on April 7, in the 2000 block of North Fernwood Drive. This is a serious situation, as a man was found unresponsive outside a residence around 3:10 p.m. It’s heartbreaking news for the community, as the injured victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. As of now, police have not released the identity of the victim, adding a layer of mystery and sorrow to the incident.
Authorities had previously identified a person of interest in this case, leading them to eventually label Sanders as a suspect. Just like Green, Sanders is also considered armed and dangerous, leaving the community on edge. The police are pleading with the public—if you know anything about Sanders or where he might be, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Again, you can call Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip using the SPD mobile app.
In times like these, it’s important for the community to come together and remain vigilant. The SPD is counting on the people of Savannah to help in ensuring our neighborhoods are safe. Remember to keep your doors locked, pay attention to your surroundings, and report any suspicious activity right away.
As always, the safety of Savannah’s residents is a top priority, and community involvement plays a crucial role in that safety. Let’s all do our part by keeping an eye out for these individuals and doing what we can to assist the police. Savannah is a beautiful city, and together we can keep it that way!
