Savannah’s community rallied together during the recent St. Jude Radiothon, raising an impressive $113,501 in just two days. With three local radio stations joining forces, listeners were inspired to contribute and share their stories, reinforcing the connection between radio and community support for children facing serious health challenges. This event not only highlighted the generosity of Savannah residents but also emphasized the impact of fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where no family will receive a treatment bill.

Given the incredible support from generous listeners, the annual fundraising event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital turned out to be a resounding success, raising a whopping $113,501 in just two days!
The excitement kicked off on March 6 and continued through March 7, 2025. Three of the community’s favorite radio stations—Magic 103.9 (WTYB-FM), KIX96 (WJCL-FM), and i-95 The Rock of Savannah (WIXV-FM)—joined forces to promote the radiothon, and boy, did the listeners respond! As DJs filled their airwaves with stories of hope and resilience, listeners opened their hearts—and their wallets.

Founded in 1962 by actor Danny Thomas, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been a beacon of hope for families facing the devastating realities of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Today, thanks to their groundbreaking research and treatment protocols, the survival rates for childhood cancer have skyrocketed from a mere 20% to over 80%!
