Get ready Savannah! The 201st St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set to roll through the city on Monday, March 17, 2025, beginning at 10:15 a.m.. Starting at the bustling intersection of Abercorn and Gwinnett streets, this grand parade promises excitement for all ages! A Route Rich with Tradition

If you’re planning to catch the parade, you’ll want to be sure to soak in the sights at some of Savannah’s most beloved squares. The parade will weave through lovely spots like Taylor, Oglethorpe, Lafayette, Johnson, Wright, Madison, and Chippewa. City staff will open these squares bright and early at 6 a.m. on parade day, giving you plenty of time to set up your chairs and find a prime viewing spot.

Keeping It Clean and Green

Prohibited items this year include styrofoam coolers, cups, and glass, so make sure to leave those at home!

Plan Your Arrival Wisely

6 a.m., more general route closures will go into effect at 8 a.m., and you won’t be able to drive on Bay Street starting at 9 a.m.. For those parking in designated areas marked in orange, remember that any vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Parking permits will be available from February 25 to March 12, so be sure to grab one!

Transportation Made Easy

Savannah Belles Ferry. No need to stress about parking when you can hop on a ferry or share a ride with friends!

No Bands, No Problem

Mark Your Calendar for Other Activities

Sergeant Jasper Green Ceremony at 4 p.m. on March 16 and the St. Patrick’s Day Mass scheduled for 8 a.m. on March 17 at the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.

Anticipation Builds for Crowds and Cleanliness

Thursday night through Monday night. To protect the beautiful flowers, shrubs, and monuments along the route, orange barriers will be placed to guide foot traffic. And remember, the to-go cup zone will be expanded this year, allowing drinks in designated areas of the city while the Downtown Business Association opts to use last year’s aluminum to-go cups inventory.

So get ready to wear your green and join in the fun while keeping Savannah’s downtown area clean and vibrant during the festivities. Let’s come together to make this year’s parade unforgettable while taking pride in our city!
